The third Russian conference 5-10 October 2020 for "Information Technologies in Biodiversity Research" is organized as a partly online event with some speakers present on-site in Ekaterinburg.
The 2020 annual conference for Biodiversity Information Standards (TDWG) will be an online virtual event this year. The first week (September 21-25) includes working sessions, and the second week (October 19-23) will run in parallel with the GBIF virtual governing board and committee meetings.
The webinar will primarily target GBIF nodes and their teams, but feel free to circulate the information to anyone you think will be interested in these topics. GBIF community webinar on 25 June at 15:00 – 16:00 UTC+2.
The GBIF region Europe and Central Asia 2020 nodes meeting was organized online on 11-12 May 2020. Note that the original on-site meeting venue in Luxembourg has been postponed to 2021 because of the COVID-19 travel restrictions.
Network seminar for DiSSCo (Distributed System of Scientific Collections) and GBIF (Global Biodiversity Information Facility) in Norway on 6th and the 7th of February 2020. The seminar had a focus on developing a governance structure for GBIF and DiSSCo in Norway. The seminar was open to all interested parties and was streamed online as a webcast to allow for remote participants.

The 2019 annual European GBIF Nodes meeting will be in Oslo 22 to 24 May at the UiO Natural History Museum in Oslo.
The National Biodiversity Data Centre, the national GBIF Participant and node in Ireland, will host GB25 in Kilkenny, in the country’s southeast, from 15-18 October 2018.
International Conference “Information Technologies in the Research of Biodiversity”, which will take place on September 11–14, 2018 (followed by a ForBio training course on data mobilization skills on September 15–19) in Irkutsk, Russia at Matrosov Institute for System Dynamics and Control Theory of Siberian Branch of Russian Academy of Sciences.
Full-day workshop 3. July 2018 for improving the data export from the national University Museum database system to Darwin Core for import to GBIF. By invitation (but participation is possible if you express interest and describe your contribution).
