We invite both participants from previous events and new individuals interested in the use of AI in transcribing specimen labels.
We will summarize the project's progress, including information about DiSSCo and its annotation infrastructure, as well as the current status of SpLAT - Specimen Label Automated Transcriber. We will also test SpLAT using different LLMs and discuss possible methods of evaluating the tool's results, as well as the future plans and opportunities.
